Posture correction, retraining how you sit

Posture correction

Posture correction is the work of retraining how a person holds the body while sitting, standing and moving. Over years, habits like slouching at a desk or leaning to one side can settle in.

This matters because poor posture puts steady strain on the neck, back and shoulders. That strain can build into stiffness and pain that make daily tasks tiring.

Our physiotherapist looks at how the person actually sits and stands at home, then works on the muscles that need strengthening or loosening. We give simple reminders and small changes to the chair, desk or bed, so better posture becomes a habit rather than an effort.
