Health Information Disclaimer

How to use the information on this site, and when to seek urgent help.

This site gives general information

The pages here share general health information about physiotherapy and recovery. They help you understand a situation and your options.

They are not a diagnosis, and they are not a substitute for a proper assessment.

A professional assesses the person first

Before any plan begins, a registered physiotherapist or a doctor assesses the person. That assessment looks at the individual, not a general case.

This is how a plan is made safe and suited to the person in front of us.

When to seek urgent help

Some signs need urgent medical care, not a home visit. Go to a hospital if a person has sudden new weakness in the face, arm or leg.

Seek urgent help for chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a bad fall. Acting quickly protects the person.

When in doubt about an urgent sign, treat it as urgent.

Getting the most from these pages

Read our pages to prepare good questions and to know what to expect. They work best as a starting point.

When you are ready, a professional can look at the person and guide the next step.
