It gives a person a safe way to get around the home and take part in daily life.

This matters because the right wheelchair, set up well, protects the skin, posture and comfort of the person using it.

A wheelchair is a tool, not a treatment. Used well, it supports independence rather than replacing movement the person can still do.

At home our physiotherapist advises on safe transfers in and out, good sitting posture, and pressure care. We also work on any standing and walking the person can manage, so the wheelchair helps daily life without letting other abilities fade.
